Health, wellness humorist to headline at Safety Council awards banquet

Many of Stark County Safety Council’s member companies have performed the critical task of keeping their workplace and employees safe during the past year. They’ll be honored with certificates from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety and Hygiene and Stark County Safety Council at the Council’s annual awards dinner.  The latter organization was recently ranked number one, out of 78 councils in the state. 

Keynote speaker will be Kay Frances, a motivational humorist who will present, “Laugh … Just for the Health of it!” about using humor to relieve stress in the workplace.  Frances is a former stand-up comedienne who has appeared on Lifetime’s Girl’s Night Out” and NBC’s “America’s Funniest People.”

New Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibits will be highlighted at ‘After Hours’

Visitors to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the Chamber’s May 15 Business After Hours will enjoy refreshments and networking opportunities with colleagues as they tour the museum and its two newly created exhibition galleries -- Moments, Memories & Mementos and Pro Football Today.  In the spirit of the new exhibit, you can take a moment, make a memory and possibly win a memento with an exciting scavenger hunt that will take you through the Hall’s new exhibits for a chance to win door prizes.

In the Moments, Memories & Mementos gallery, the career milestones, personal memories and unique mementos of members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are brought to life through high-energy interactive exhibits.  The Pro Football Today gallery features more contemporary themes including displays on NFL International, the Pro Bowl, NFL Career Record Holders, Rookie Records, NFL MVPs and Mementos of the Modern Era
