Community Parade

Sunday, July 28, 208, was a lovely, sunny day for the Community Parade.  Over 130 units stepped off at 2:30 PM at 11th and Market Avenue North and traveled south through beautifully revitalized downtown Canton.  Delightful giant helium balloons, marching groups, antique vehicles, floats and specialty units brought smiles to the faces of young and old alike.  The large crowd greeted all the units with enthusiasm and gave a warm reception to grand marshal Ken Huot, general chairman of the Chamber’s Enshrinement Festival committees.  Carol Koontz Baton and Drum Corps won the Community Choice Award.
