Enshrinement Festival Top Model Competition Winners

Canton, OH—April 8, 2008—An enthusiastic group of 39 semi-finalists competed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Fashion Show Luncheon “Top Model Competition” on April 7 at Timken High School auditorium. The competition was made possible through the generous support of Aura Salon & Spa, SWC Enterprises, Inc., and the Special Improvement District and its downtown Canton restaurants.

There were 19 semi-finalists from Canton, 10 from Massillon, and one each from North Canton, Alliance, Louisville, East Sparta, Dundee, New Philadelphia, Hudson, Navarre, Carrollton, and Dalton.   Semi-finalists were grouped into age categories and each contestant had the opportunity to model a casual/daytime outfit as well as an evening/after-five selection of their own choosing. Contestants were scored on the basis of runway walk, appearance, poise, and personality by a panel of four judges consisting of Emily Larrick, owner of Aura Salon and Spa; John Pandoli, marketing director, Maloney & Associates; Vandana Patel, choreographer and entertainment freelance artist; and Dolores Pressley, founder and principal, Born Successful Institute.  Betty Smith, chairman of the Fashion Show Luncheon Committee, served as emcee for the evening, and entertainment was provided by Canton Idol contestant Sarah Rucker.

Due to the exceptional quality of the contestants, judges not only selected winners, but also awarded honorable mentions in each age category.  Sean Holland was the only male finalist, and he was selected as a winner in the 18 to 25 age category.  The remaining contestants were female, and the results are as follows:

18 to 25:  winner – Ashanti Murdock; honorable mentions – Rachael Cash,

               Ashley Diegmiller, and Rachel Ferne.

26 to 39:  winner – Heather McKimm; honorable mention  -- Maria Rey.
