Girls on the Run of Stark County is excited to announce the top five nominees for the first annual GOTR Stark Coach of the Year Awards. Stark County GOTR coaches are dedicated to empowering girls. It is because of their dedication and talents that GOTR Stark has been able to reach over 1,000 girls since the first season in 2010. The GOTR Stark Coach of the Year Award was created as yet another way to express our gratitude for all that our coaches do. Beginning in May 2015, Girls on the Run participants from throughout Stark County submitted nominations for their coaches in the form of persuasive essays and creative illustrations. The Top 5 finalists were selected based on the persuasiveness and creativity of the nominations their GOTR girls created. This year’s top 5 finalists are (in no certain order):
  • Carol Eisenbrei, Head GOTR Coach at Watson Elementary
  • Erica Kukoleck, Head GOTR Coach at Amherst Elementary
  • Becky DeRosa, Co-Head Coach at Strausser Elementary
  • Sue Gronow, Head Coach at Louisville Elementary
  • Kellie Johnson, Head Coach Orchard Hill Intermediate
GOTR Stark will announce the Coach of the Year at our Fall Festival on October 24th at Fieldcrest Estate. The annual fundraiser will include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and raffle auction with the theme ”Inspire her masterpiece”—a call to empower every girl so she can boldly & freely chase her dreams as the foundation of her unique masterpiece that is her life.
