CANTON, OH (Aug. 2, 2011) – ystark!, the Canton Regional Chamber’s young professional organization, has announced a new Fellowship Program opportunity for 2011. The available position is SEO strategist at The Karcher Group. The Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students who are searching for their first salaried position post-graduation. The Fellowship Program is intended to offer an immersion experience for participants – a full-time, salaried, high-exposure work opportunity that offers the benefits of professional development, community service involvement and networking opportunities. The Karcher Group will invest two years with the selected fellow, offering them meaningful, challenging work assignments and the opportunity to work on innovative projects. The host company will also be required to support the fellow in community service projects, volunteer commitments and ystark! and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce events. Senior management is required to stay abreast of the fellow’s progress and provide progress evaluations. By hosting a fellow, the companies will have direct access to emerging talent, and a way to capture employees who have the most knowledge and skills of emerging technologies, practices and processes. The ystark! Fellowship Program recently celebrated a milestone – the inaugural program fellows, Ethan Steigert, hosted by Aultman Health Foundation, and Mark Wagner, hosted by The Repository completed their programs last month and were celebrated in a Fellowship Luncheon. Post-Fellowship, Wagner will continue as a full-time staff member with The Repository in the role of marketing and sales consultant. Steigert was recently hired by Mars Horsecare US Inc. as a P&O specialist. In addition, Christopher Burr has completed one half of the Fellowship Program as a technical support specialist with Time Warner Cable. ystark! is accepting applications from undergraduate students who graduated in the Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 academic year. Applicants must be graduates of Kent State University at Stark, Malone University, The University of Mount Union, Stark State College or Walsh University, or they must be a Stark County high school graduate who will graduate from any college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The program is open to graduates in all undergraduate majors. All applications must be received by Sunday, Aug. 7. For complete information on the ystark!
