
William C. Shivers, Canton/Mahoning Valley regional president for Huntington Bank, will be recognized with the highest honor, the Award of Merit, at the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce's Community Salute Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016.
Shivers is 26-year veteran of the banking industry. Prior to being named president, he served as vice president and team leader of commercial banking for Huntington. Previously, Shivers held a commercial banking role at KeyBank. Additionally, his diverse background encompasses serving as a state examiner for the Ohio State Auditors Office; director of sales and marketing, as well as vice president of operations, for Quaker Manufacturing Corp.
The Award of Merit will be presented along with five Awards of Appreciation and a Special Award of Appreciation during a dinner program at The Conference Center, Kent State University at Stark.
