CANTON, OH (September 13, 2012) -- The Stark County Safety Council, Canton Fire Prevention Bureau and Exchange Club will host Canton’s 47th annual Fire Prevention Breakfast, a key event observing National Fire Prevention Week from Oct. 7 through 13. The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at Skyland Pines Golf Club and Banquet Facility in Canton. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. The breakfast will feature the city and county Firefighter of the Year awards and keynote speaker Mary Mondozzi, Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Center education coordinator. In addition, brief remarks will be made by Canton Mayor William J. Healy II, a representative from the Stark County Safety Council, and Captain Lorenzo Bagley, Canton Fire Prevention Bureau. The event is open to the public at a price of $14 per attendee. Register online at www.CantonChamber.org. Donations of seats or tables for local firefighters are also being accepted.
