The 356 Fighter Group is celebrating 25 years as the area's only authentic WWII restaurant dedicated to the heroes of the war. The 356th Fighter Group was an actual airborne team that saw combat in the European Theater. The 356th Fighter Group was stationed at the Martelsham Heath Airfield in Suffolk, England, and completed 413 combat missions. It is to these brave and courageous men that the restaurant is dedicated.
The locally owned and operated restaurant and cabaret is located on the south runways of the Akron/Canton Airport. Huge windows overlook the airport runways to enable guests to view the building and its grounds. The 356th specializes in elegant, casual dining with banquet facilities and off premise catering through the Commanders Catering Company.
