CANTON, OH (July 5, 2012) – The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival department of Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Pro Football Hall of Fame have named the following key committee chairs: Thomas Ream, Public Safety and Service; Mark Prosise, NFL/Hall of Fame Game; Mike Lancaster, Corporate Host; and Dave Dolan, Appreciation Party. [gallery link="file" columns="4" orderby="rand"] Ream serves as the City of Canton’s public service and safety representative to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Committee. He serves on the Mayor’s administrative team as director of public safety, overseeing the police, fire and building departments. He joined the Healy administration in August 2009 after 32 years of service with the Canton Police Department, retiring as the Deputy Chief of Police. A graduate of the Southern Police Institute and the FBI National Academy, he is a member of the FBI National Academy Associates, International Association of Chiefs of Police, and FOP McKinley Lodge #2. He has extensive Enshrinement Festival experience through his duties from 1994 through 2001 as Canton Police Department Hall of Fame events commander. He and wife Marcy are the parents of two sons. The Chamber and Pro Football Hall of Fame committees of the Enshrinement Festival work closely with the City of Canton to assure the safety and comfort of citizens and visitors who attend the annual festivities. The level of cooperation from the City has been extraordinary over the past 49 years, and the Chamber and Hall are grateful to the city’s elected officials, department heads and employees who provide so much support each year. Prosise is owner of A Child’s Place Nursery School, and a graduate of Jackson High School, Bowling Green State University, and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He has served on the Game committee since 1999, and this is his second consecutive year as chairman. An active Hall of Fame volunteer for the past 19 years, he has also served on the Autograph and Enshrinement committees. Prosise is past-president of the Jackson Township Community Improvement Corporation. He and wife Sandra have two sons, Eric and Ryan. Under the direction of Prosise, with assistance from vice chairman Doug Hampton, the Game Committee is responsible for timing and coordination of the pre-game and halftime activities during the NFL/Hall of Fame Game, to be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, featuring the Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints before a sold-out stadium and national television audience. Lancaster is president of NewMarket Financial Advisors. He has been an active Enshrinement Festival volunteer since 1976, serving as a ball-boy for the Hall of Fame Game as a youngster, and previously serving as chairman of the NFL Experience Committee. He supports other community activities as a member of the Stark County Board of Health and Walsh University Planned Giving Committee, is a member of the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, and a graduate of Leadership Stark County. He and wife Susan are the proud parents of one son and one daughter. This year, he chairs the Corporate Host Committee for the second consecutive year, leading the effort to provide increased hospitality services and support to corporate sponsors and their guests during the Enshrinement Festival events. He will be assisted by Steve Neisel as committee vice chairman. Dolan graduated from GlenOak High School and University of Akron and is currently AVP & Mortgage Services Manager at The Commercial & Savings Bank in Millersburg. An active Enshrinement Festival volunteer for many years, he previously served on the Souvenirs Committee and chaired the Special Services Committee. He also volunteers for Stark Parks and is very active at St Joan of Arc Church as a member of the finance committee, as well as a member of their orchestra and Timeless Jazz Band. He and wife Carolyn have three grown children and one granddaughter. The Appreciation Party is a non-public event held to show gratitude to the generous sponsors and team of more than 4,200 dedicated community volunteers who provide the resources and support to make the annual Enshrinement Festival such a huge success. Rose Ann Manzella is serving as committee vice chair. ABOUT THE ENSHRINEMENT FESTIVAL In 2012, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Enshrinement Festival will mark the 49th anniversary of honoring the legends of professional football, which includes conducting a world-renowned festival celebrating the annual enshrinement of football players, coaches and contributors into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The collaborative efforts of this leadership team, combined with the professional staffs at the Canton Regional Chamber and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the dedicated team of more than 4,200 volunteers, will ensure the success of 19 diverse events over two weeks from July 20 to Aug. 6, 2012. The Enshrinement Festival activities, attended by nearly 700,000 people, are expected to produce an economic impact of over $31 million for the Canton/Stark County area and $56 million for the State of Ohio. In addition, millions will experience aspects of the Enshrinement Festival as events are televised and covered by other media. The central focus and highlight of this year’s Enshrinement Festival will be the Aug. 4 Enshrinement Ceremony for the Class of 2012 Enshrinees, comprised of cornerback Jack Butler, center Dermontti Dawson, defensive end/linebacker Chris Doleman, defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, running back Curtis Martin and tackle Willie Roaf.
