About the Speaker

Dr. Philip Kim is an author, educator, speaker and consultant. He has published over 20 academic journal articles and has presented at over ten national and international conferences. As a consultant he has worked with over 50 small- to mid-sized institutions including higher education, financial services, non-profits and manufacturing. In 2012, Dr. Kim published his first e-book, Big Business Problems: Small Business Solutions that has been well-received and reviewed on Amazon. He was also one of the recipients of the Best Paper Award (top 5%) at the Conference for Applied Information Systems (CONISAR) 2012. Dr. Kim previously served as the VP of information security for a $5 billion financial services organization, where he was responsible for managing the bank's information security environment and consulted on the bank’s internal IT risk management practices.
