CANTON, OH (October 23, 2009) - Downtown Canton eateries and galleries have big plans in store for Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 31. Ghoulish goblins of all ages are welcome to don their best costume and head downtown to celebrate.

2nd April Galerie & Studios will have a gallery "Trick or Treat" from 6 to 8 p.m.

Rocky Horror Picture Show begins at 8 p.m. at The Canton Palace Theatre.

Acme Artists will host their Third Annual Halloween Show, Art Crimes, from 5 to 10 p.m.

Thorpe's Market Avenue Grill at the McKinley Grand will host the final day of a pumpkin-carving contest among the downtown chefs. Come vote for the best pumpkin, on display Oct. 28 through 31.

Talk like a pirate and head to Picciano's Martini Lounge, Iris Restaurant, and Pete's Grill and Pizza to enjoy a variety of Halloween-themed drinks. The Captain Morgan Girls will be there help get the party started.

Dinner at Peter Shears involves a "Beastly Feast" with a 25% discount for arriving in obvious costume, ghostly dinner and drink specials, and half off appetizers with a receipt from any other downtown restaurant dated October 31.

Get your zombie groove on at the Blue Olive Jazz Club and enjoy the live music of D.O.C Unit featuring Kevin DiSimon and Sherena. They'll offer prizes for best costume.
