CANTON, OH (July 24, 2009) - The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Drum Corps International Competition will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. The competition will be hosted by the Enshrinement Festival department of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Canton's Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. The stadium will open at 5:30 p.m., with a pre-show at 6:30 p.m., and the first corps stepping off at 7 p.m.
The Drum Corps Competition will feature eight corps, and is truly a family event filled with pageantry, precision and extraordinary musical talent. The Bluecoats will compete against some of the nation's top-ranked corps. They include the Blue Stars from LaCrosse, Wis.; Boston Crusaders from Boston, Mass.; Crossmen from San Antonio, Texas; Jersey Surf from Camden County, N.J.; Mandarins from Sacramento, Calif.; Spirit from Jacksonville, Ala.; and Troopers from Casper, Wyo.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Massillon Chamber of Commerce, Canton and Massillon AAA offices, Dumont's Seed Company on 30th St. N.W., Gulia's Music, R & H Music and Zampino's Drum Shop. Premium reserved seats are $22 in advance and $24 at the gate. Reserved seats are $17 in advance and $19 at the gate. General admission is $13 and $15 at the gate for adults and $8 and $10 at the gate for children 12 and under. The stadium's box office will open at noon the day of the competition.
