CANTON, OH (February 3, 2009) - The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Fashion Show Luncheon "Top Model Competition" drew 50 contestants to the Timken High School auditorium on Saturday, January 24.

 

A panel of five judges scored contestants on the basis of runway walk, appearance, poise and personality. After a lively competition, the field was narrowed to 34 semi-finalists who will be competing in the final competition on Friday, February 27, beginning at 7 p.m. at Timken High School auditorium. The semi-finalists are grouped into the age categories 18 to 25; 26 to 39; 40 to 49; and 50 and older. Judges' scores will determine how many models will be selected to model in the Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Fashion Show Luncheon on Friday, August 7, at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.

 

There are nine semi-finalists from Canton, four from Massillon, four from Louisville, three from North Canton, three from Akron, and one each from Alliance, Cuyahoga Falls, Uniontown, Willoughby Hills, Sagamore Hills, Bolivar, Navarre, New Philadelphia, Scio, Seven Hills and Fremont. The semi-finalists are: Kristin Allen, Samuel Beall II, Carl Beasley, Rebecca Blankenship, Cynthia Brown, Rachael Cash, Verlisa Cox, Layla Cushman, Pasquale D'Aurelio, Sarah DeUnger, Ashley Diegmiller, Jessie Dixson, Julie Durkin, Angela Fleckner, Tina Foreman, Lynae Gieseman, Leigh Greenfelder, Delta Hall, Caroline Hupp, Rachel Husted, Denikka Jenkins, Lauren Malloy, Carol McKimm, Cathy Nesbitt-Stein, Pamela Ohman, DeShawna Petties, Stacey Powell, Erin Stein-Rich, Allison Swarny, Jak Taylor, Dominic Tropiano, Miranda Warrington, Angelica Wilson and Marguerite Young.

 

Tickets for the "Top Model Competition" finals are available for only $5 each by contacting Kim Miller at (330) 458-2048 or by visiting the Enshrinement Festival office at 222 Market Avenue North in downtown Canton, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets can also be obtained at this location for the Fashion Show Luncheon, which has consistently been recognized as one of the premiere events of the 10-day festivities. After a delicious lunch, nearly 4,000 guests gather in the main auditorium of the Canton Memorial Civic Center to enjoy the high fashion and high energy which have become the standard for this huge show, featuring 30 models showcasing 200 of the season's hottest fashions.
