Fall Art Exhibits at Malone University
Malone University galleries will open new exhibits later this month. Both the Fountain Gallery and McFadden Gallery are located within the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, are free and open to the public during business hours. The Fountain Gallery will present "The Handkerchief Memory Project," from October 24 through December 3 with a reception on November 1 from 4-7 p.m. The exhibit is a response to sabbatical research of Clare Murray Adams, MFA, professor of art. A group of 55 handkerchiefs are illustrated with the memories of the people she interviewed while investigating how memory affects us as we age. By floating the handkerchiefs instead of pinning them to the wall, Adams hopes to leave the viewer with the feeling of memory as something somewhat elusive.
