How much do SBGNET’s services cost?
The Small Business Growth Network is comprised of 35 volunteer counselors who provide absolutely free and confidential business counseling and advice to Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce members looking to start or improve their small business.
Who are SBGNET’s volunteer counselors?
Our volunteer counselors are men and woman who have extensive, real-world business and management experience. They bring expertise in a number of areas including accounting, banking, finance, manufacturing, project management, retail, legal, taxes, public relations, insurance, distribution, and international business. Counselors may be either retired or working business owners or executives.

From planning to funding to marketing, the Small Business Growth Network’s team of seasoned business professionals, many of whom are business owners themselves, are here to provide free advice through one-on-one counseling or through one of our exclusive business workshops for Canton Regional Chamber members.
What is SCORE?
The Canton Regional SCORE Chapter has been providing free and confidential counseling to local small businesses and non-profit organizations for 25 years. One of about 300 chapters across the country, the local chapter consists of 34 volunteers who are veterans of the business world with a variety of business backgrounds. The chapter provides counseling and mentoring to entrepreneurs starting businesses, operating small businesses and non-profit boards to assist them in solving problems and being successful. In addition to individual counseling, SCORE sponsors over 50 free workshops a year on a variety of topics relevant to operating a small business or a non-profit organization. SCORE itself is a non-profit organization and receives most of its support from local foundations and Kent State University. SCORE is proud to partner with the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce on the Small Business Growth Network to provide business advice, mentoring, and workshops to Chamber members.
