Herpetology Day
Published:
Herpetology Day Sat., June 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
A chance to get up-close with native Ohio reptiles and amphibians. Join us for programs about snakes and salamanders, take a hike to look for snakes, stop by the lake and look for turtles. Visit the exploration center to meet live critters. There will be story time, crafts, games, and face painting for the kids. There are programs for all ages, pre-school through adult. Join us and celebrate our rich herpetological heritage. Free. This year, there is a special opportunity for herpetology day–join us Friday for an overnight at TWC! We’ll meet at the Interpretive Building at 8 p.m. and search the property for frogs, salamanders, turtles and snakes. You are welcome to camp out in the building after we are done–just bring your own bedrolls. Breakfast is not provided, but you can run into Wilmot for a bite if you wish. If you have any questions, contact carrie@wildernesscenter.org.
