CANTON, OH (July 6, 2010) – The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Drum Corps International Competition will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. The competition will be hosted by the Enshrinement Festival department of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Canton’s Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. The stadium will open at 5:30 p.m., with a pre-show at 6:30 p.m. and the first corps stepping off at 7 p.m.
The Drum Corps Competition will feature eight corps, including five of the top twelve in the nation, and is truly a family event filled with pageantry, precision and extraordinary musical talent. The Bluecoats will compete against some of the nation’s top-ranked corps. They include Blue Knights from Denver, Colo.; The Cadets from Allentown, Pa.; Madison Scouts from Madison, Wis.; Pioneer from Milwaukee, Wis.; Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, Calif.; Spirit from Jacksonville, Ala.; and Troopers from Casper, Wyo. These corps will be at the peak of their performance just one week away from the international championships to be held in Indianapolis, Ind.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Massillon Chamber of Commerce, Canton and Massillon AAA offices, Dumont’s Seed Company on 30th St. NW, Gulia’s Music, R & H Music and Zampino’s Drum Shop. Premium reserved seats are $24 in advance and $26 at the gate. Reserved seats are $19 in advance and $21 at the gate. General admission is $15 and $17 at the gate for adults and $8 and $10 at the gate for children 12 and under. The stadium’s box office will open at noon the day of the competition.
