CANTON, OH (September 22, 2008) - Bill Green of Louisville, swept the entire professional photography category in the 20th Annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Photo Contest, sponsored by Wal-Mart. Green won three first place awards including the Best of Show Balloon Classic Invitational/Jackson-Belden Food Fest and Fireworks, the 5-Mile and 2-Mile Races and the Concert and Fireworks. His award prizes total $550.

Craig James, an area photographer and one of this year's three photo contest judges, said of Green's Best of Show award, "Spiked hair really jumps out at you, doesn't it? I love the soft lines and then the sharp angles. At the end of the day he [Green] did the work!"
The annual photo contest is open to amateur and professional photographers alike, and any photos of outdoor Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival events qualify for entry. The photos are judged based on creativity, clarity, depth and color, overall composition and print quality.
Winners in the non-professional category are: first place ($100 each) - Balloon Classic Invitational/Jackson-Belden Food Fest and Fireworks, Stephen Ledford (Canton); 5-Mile and 2-Mile Races, Christina Wine (Massillon); Community Parade, Christina Wine (Massillon); Drum Corps International, Peter Gray (Concord, OH);Timken Grand Parade, Brooke Triplett (Canton); and honorable mentions ($25 each) - Stephen Ledford (Canton), Britt Melton (Massillon), Lindy Anastis (Canton), Bob Trinnes (Solon, OH) and Tedd Perkins (Canton).
For the second year, the photography contest included a youth category for children age 12 and under. This year's "Best Youth Photo" award and winner of a $75 Wal-Mart gift card is Devin Danko of York, South Carolina for his Balloon Classic Invitational photo. Honorable mention ($25) was awarded to Stephen Kamph (Navarre). |

The winning photos will be on display at the Canton Museum of Art from October 17-26 and on the Enshrinement Festival's web site at www.profootballhoffestival.com.
