CANTON, OH (October 1, 2013) – I²r Power Cable Company will be locating on 2.8 acres in Mills Business Park in a new, 26,000 sq. ft. facility. The company’s growth plan requires the new facility, and it intends to more than double the number of employees as a result. Construction on the project is slated to begin soon. “We’ve enjoyed working with the City of Canton and Stark Development Board, as well as the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, to establish a suitable location for our new facility. We appreciate the effort they put forth, and we look forward to growing I²r in the Mills Business Park,” said Karl Schwenk, director for I²r Power Cable Company. "We’re extremely proud of the continued growth at Mills Business Park, and excited to welcome I²r Power Cable. This latest development continues to demonstrate the collaborative spirit of this community,” said Dennis P. Saunier, president and CEO of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. The City of Canton, led by Mayor William J. Healy II and then-development director Fonda Williams, provided an incentive to I²r Power Cable Company, and Canton City Council approved the incentive package. The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and DeHoff Development were closely involved throughout the process. “Securing I²r Cable Company at the Mills Business Park is a direct result of the benefits of collaboration between the public and private sectors. This investment by I²r will have far reaching impacts for the greater Canton community as nothing raises the standard of living better than a good paying job,” said Dan DeHoff, president, DeHoff Development Company.
