CANTON, OHIO (October 3, 2008) - Leadership Stark County, an arm of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, recently welcomed its 22nd Signature class. The class has begun their ten-month exploration of Stark County's current issues, assets, and local and regional resources. The members have varied professions, neighborhoods and ages - ranging from mid-twenties to late fifties - but share a common link in their desire to serve the community. These community-minded individuals have been charged to work together to make a lifelong commitment to Stark County.

Since 1985, the Signature program has generated 725 graduates. At present, 38 graduates serve as board chair or president of local non-profit agencies in Stark County and more than 170 non-profit boards in Stark County have at least one graduate in service as a board member.
