CANTON, OHIO (June 25, 2012) – Leadership Stark County, a department of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, has announced its fall 2012 program schedule. The programs provide personal and professional development to enhance leadership capacity in the workplace and in the community. All programs include intensive study of community assets and issues, led by interaction with prominent decision-makers. Information session set for Aug. 15 Prospective participants and employers are encouraged to attend an information session on Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. at Sirak Financial Services (4700 Dressler Rd. NW, in Canton). Reservations are requested by Monday, Aug. 13. Applications accepted for Spotlight Stark County through Sept. 7 The free, no-obligation information session will offer feature an overview of Leadership’s Spotlight Stark County program for younger professionals (age 24-34), an explanation of the application process, tuition assistance information and a question and answer segment. Additionally, information about the Encounter Bus Tour and Government Leadership Academy will be provided. Applications for Spotlight Stark County will be accepted until the class fills and no later than Sept. 7. Registration available now for Encounter Bus Tour Registrations for the 12th annual Encounter Bus Tour on Tuesday, Oct. 16, are now being accepted. Speakers and participants hop on and off the bus throughout the day- long whirlwind tour of Stark County. The tour focuses on Stark County’s historic, economic, cultural and volunteer resources.
