Light Up Downtown - A Virtual Celebration

VIEW LIGHT UP DOWNTOWN ONLINE

The annual holiday celebration in downtown Canton, is available to view on Facebook and YouTube. This is the 30th anniversary of the holiday kick-off event, and the virtual experience will keep the tradition alive of showcasing downtown at the holidays.

Program highlights include:

• A brief welcome from Denny Saunier, president & CEO of the Canton
  Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Mayor Bernabei, City of Canton
• A holiday message from Elec Simon, renowned musician and motivational
  speaker
• Highlights and memories from the 2019 Light Up Downtown stage show
  and celebration
• A countdown by Mayor Bernabei to the lighting of downtown Canton's
  Christmas tree, as well as the beautiful festival lights throughout downtown
• A kickoff to the 12 Days of Christmas social media promotion featuring
  participating downtown businesses

SPREAD THE WARMTH

We want to continue our SPREAD THE WARMTH drive for NEW hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and socks for our children in need.  The Canton Fire Department personnel and volunteers will be distributing these donated items during a Drive Through on Saturday, December 12^th, at Monument Park, starting at 9:00 a.m., while supplies last.  Please enter from 7th St NW, and you will be directed to exit on Kennet Court NW.

We feel the need for these items will be greater than ever this year, so please consider helping us. Watch this site for a listing of businesses collecting, or bring your new items to the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, 8:30-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. We will be accepting donations through Monday, December 7^th.
