OCVN Class June 10, 12, 14, 17,19, 21 Learn more about Ohio’s Natural History! The Ohio Certified Naturalist Program (OCVN) is a training program based on the intensive Master Gardening model and run through OSU Exten­sion. Participants complete 40 hours of training and 40 hours of community service. Coursework includes training in geology, plants, insects, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, ecology, stewardship, and interpretation. TWC has trained over 200 volunteers since 2007. These graduates have put in lots of volunteer hours at The Wil­derness Center and in the surrounding counties. They are docenting (leading classes), working on trails, helping with wildlife monitoring, setting up monarch butterfly waystations, and doing countless other tasks.
