Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner • Fashion Show Luncheon • Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival department of Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce has named the following key committee chairs for the indoor events held at the Canton Memorial Civic Center and Cultural Center for the Arts: John Runion, Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner; Paula Hogue, Fashion Show Luncheon; and Carol Hawk, Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable.

Runion is a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, Kent State University and Stark State College.  He is employed by the Stark County Commissioners as Stark County Records Manager, and this is his first year as chairman of the Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner.  He formerly chaired the Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable Committee and served as a member of the former Mayor’s Breakfast Committee. He is past chair of the Ohio Electronics Records Committee and current member of the County Archivists and Records Managers Association, and proud recipient of the U.S. Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal.

The event name, Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner, appropriately reflects that the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket will be presented at this event to each member of the Class of 2016 Enshrinees.  It is one of three iconic symbols of induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the other two being the bust which is unveiled at the Enshrinement Ceremony and forever showcased at the Hall of Fame, and the ring which is presented individually to each Enshrinee at his home stadium in the ensuing football season.

The Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4, with activities beginning at 5:00 p.m., and limited tickets may still be available. In addition to the Hall of Fame Gold Jacket presentation, the program will feature an emcee of national acclaim and introduction of a large number of returning Hall of Famers. Serving as vice chairman of the committee this year is Paulette Bersaglini.

Hogue is store manager at Chico’s Belden Village Mall, and is serving her second year as chairman of the Fashion Show Luncheon Committee.  A graduate of Tuslaw High School, she attended Stark State and Jane Skinner Modeling Academy.  She has worked with the Battered Women’s Shelter and has coordinated fashion shows for a variety of community entities including Mercy Medical Hospice, Quota Club of Canton, and Massillon Women’s Club. She and husband Tracy are the proud parents of two children.

The Fashion Show Luncheon on Friday, Aug. 5, will be a one-of-a-kind-fashion celebration! It will feature lively musical entertainment and state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video to showcase professional models featuring the season’s hottest his and her fashions. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with festivities beginning at Noon.  Great tickets are still available, as are a variety of fantastic sponsorships offering excellent promotional and branding opportunities. Assisting Hogue with the massive details for this event is vice chairman Kayla Hogue – the first mother-daughter committee leadership team!

Hawk is serving her second year as chairman of the Enshinees GameDay Roundtable.  A graduate of Central Catholic High School, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.

Hawk serves as the Community Engagement Director for Pathway Caring for Children. She has been a member of the GameDay committee since 2009 and has also been a hostess for the Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner for the past six years.  Hawk is a graduate of Leadership Stark County, a member of the Mercy Service League, a volunteer for the Stark County Hunger Task Force, and the Canton Palace Theatre. She and her husband Gary are the proud parents of three children, a son and daughter who are already the next generation of Enshrinement Festival volunteers, and another daughter who will soon join the volunteer ranks.

The Enshrinees GameDay Roundtable will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, and features a center stage roundtable presentation featuring members of the Class of 2016 Enshrinees just hours after their emotional induction ceremonies. The roundtable will feature an unscripted, up close and personal format where they share stories and memories of their careers. Tim Plastow is assisting Hawk as committee vice chairman. Tickets for this fan favorite event are available.
