Strolling Stark GeoTour Kickoff
Come celebrate the launch of a new GeoTour in Stark County on Saturday 11/14/15! New and experienced geocachers alike are invited. Never heard of geocaching? Come and learn what this real-life treasure hunt is all about! The event will begin with basic instructions before guests head outside to seek temporary geocaches placed throughout Sippo Lake Park especially for this event. The culminating moment will be the official unveiling of the Strolling Stark GeoTour back inside the party hall. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Bring a GPS-enabled smart phone or device to track down the caches. This is a family-friendly event for both new and experienced geocachers! Once unveiled, the Strolling Stark GeoTour will take cachers throughout Stark County to national attractions, quaint villages and towns, and other unique local spots with parks and trails surrounding them. Full details, locations, and descriptions of the GeoTour caches will be launched on Geocaching.com during the event on November 14. Strolling Stark GeoTour Passports will be available at the kickoff event to track your progress towards discovering all of the Tour caches. Once completed, the passport can be redeemed for a commemorative coin. The Stark County Park District and the Stark County Convention and Visitors� Bureau are working together to develop and launch the GeoTour.
