The Stark County Hunger Task Force is accepting last-minute registrations for "Fairways to Fight Hunger"
The CSE Federal Credit Union presents "Fairways to Fight Hunger", a golf outing benefiting the Stark County Hunger Task Force. On May 4, 2013, the Hills Course at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course will come alive with golfers helping to fight hunger. This 18-hole scramble is still accepting last-minute registrations. Prices are $65/single or $250/foursome, and includes coffee and doughnuts at the start, a hotdog at the turn, an Old Carolina BBQ Dinner, range balls, and lots of prizes! Tickets are also available for the dinner/silent auction only for $25/person. The outing will begin with a shotgun start at 9am. Every sixth person in Stark County suffers from hunger. The food insecurity rate for Stark County stands at 16.7%, higher than the national rate. Alarmingly, 25.2% of the county's children go hungry. The Stark County Hunger Task Force helps provide groceries for over 260,000 neighbors a year, providing food and hope for those in need.
