Jim McGlone

Chief Marketing Officer, Kenexis

BIO: Jim McGlone is a certified industrial cybersecurity professional and the Chief Marketing Officer of Kenexis with degrees in nuclear technology, computer technology, and international business. Prior to joining Kenexis, Jim served as the software global business development manager for Rockwell Automation and vice president at Tridium, a Honeywell technology business.

Jim has served as the president of Control System Cyber Security Association in central Ohio and the Director of the ISA Safety & Security Division. Jim also served the US Navy as a nuclear reactor operator on two attack submarines.

Jim is the coauthor of “Security PHA Review for Consequence-based Cybersecurity” due out later this year from the ‪ISA.org‬.‬

Colette oversees our Infrastructure Intelligence products and keeps an eye on project timelines, construction status, and regulatory approvals, all of which impact natural gas movement across North America. She diversified our surveillance and introduced aerial flyovers for assessing not only project status, but also potential root causes of infrastructure failures, giving us an edge in monitoring recently completed projects that may be at risk. Colette is currently tracking construction progress of Columbia Gas’ Mountaineer XPress pipeline, a key transportation highway for much-needed natural gas supply in the US, and is closely monitoring the buildout of pipelines in the Permian. She is an academically trained geologist and prior to joining the natural gas team here, worked with the U.S. Forest Service conducting climate change research through stream temperature data analysis. She has a BS in Geology from Pacific Lutheran University and a MS in Earth Science from Boise State University.

BIO: Jason Stechschulte graduated from Trine University in Angola, Indiana, with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 2003. He joined Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) in 2003 as a pipeline engineer in Findlay, Ohio. Throughout his career at MPC, he has held various engineering, operations, and commercial positions in the marketing and transportation engineering, transportation and logistics, and pipeline organizations. In August 2016, Stechschulte assumed his current position where he leads commercial and engineering development of growth projects, including within the Utica shale, for Marathon Pipe Line LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. In his current role, he manages commercial growth opportunities for Marathon Pipe Line LLC and MPLX LP. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio.


 Sam Schupbach

Vice President of Gathering & Processing – Operations Processing, MPLX LP

 

BIO: Sam has 35 years of experience in various leadership roles in refining and midstream operations. Sam currently serves as the vice president of Operations Processing, MPLX Gathering and Processing (G&P). He leads the processing operations function for the MPLX G&P business unit responsible for gas processing and natural gas liquid fractionation in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. Sam’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining MPLX’s leading position among midstream providers in the Marcellus, Appalachia and Utica Shale plays.

Sam is a native to Northern West Virginia, where he resides with his wife Lynne. They have two children and one grandchild. Sam holds a degree in Business Management.

Vice President of Business Development, Caiman Energy II and Blue Racer Midstream

 
BIO: In his current position, Brent Breon is focused on developing gas gathering, compression, processing, and fractionation opportunities in the Marcellus and Utica Shale. Blue Racer is a joint venture formed in December 2012 by Caiman Energy II and Dominion to own, operate, develop and acquire midstream assets. Prior to joining Caiman in 2011, Breon worked at Dominion Resources in various operations, engineering, and business development roles. He graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA. Brent has presented an update on the significant infrastructure work of Blue Racer for every midstream seminar we have produced.

Rick Simmers

Chief, Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management


BIO:
When Rick Simmers became chief of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management in late 2011, he said his goal was “to effectively and fairly regulate the industry and, above all else, ensure that public safety and protection of the environment are foremost.”

A Stark County native and resident of Lake Township, Simmers began working for the Oil and Gas Program in 1985 as a staff geologist and ground water investigator. In 1987 he was promoted to Northeast Ohio enforcement administrator for 19 counties. From 1994 to 1996, Simmers also served as acting Chief for the Division of Oil and Gas. When the division merged with the Reclamation program to become the Division of Mineral Resources Management in 2000, Simmers assumed responsibility for supervising all field enforcement activities across the state.

Simmers earned both a master of science degree and bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Akron. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Akron. He serves serving as Ohio’s representative to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, Simmers has also served on the Ground Water Protection Council.

BIO: Mr. Atme officially joined Encino as Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for managing marketing and midstream operations, after working with Encino as a consultant since 2016. Prior to joining Encino Energy, Mr. Atme lead the marketing and midstream operations for Range Resources. Prior to Range, Mr. Atme worked at Spectra Energy in operations, corporate development, and business development across multiple assets and regions in North America. Mr. Atme holds an MBA from Rice University in Houston and a Mechanical Engineering degree from McMaster University in Canada and is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
