CANTON … Vasiko Custom Clothiers, a custom clothing and design boutique, recognizes its third birthday this October. Owner and lead designer, Athena, celebrates in style as she embarks on a new project, the Suited for Success Foundation (SSF). The organization will provide a place for people to donate their no longer used suits. Athena will coordinate with local universities to donate suits to college seniors who do not have the means to buy professional clothing as they enter the workforce.  She is currently accepting donations. “Your suit speaks volumes when you walk into a room,” said Athena. “Suited for Success helps build the confidence and self-esteem young adults need when graduating from college. They worked hard! They deserve to look their best and make lasting first impressions as they enter the workforce.” Athena is no stranger to charity. Vasiko sponsored a team of walkers for this year’s Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes on September 22, at Kent State University’s Stark Campus. The team raised over $2,000.  A portion of Vasiko’s September sales also went towards the JDRF fund. People interested in donating to Suited for Success can contact Athena directly to schedule an appointment for a Vasiko representative to pick up all items. She asks that suits are dry cleaned prior to pick up. For more information on donating to SSF, contact Athena at info@vasikocustomclothiers.com.   A Canton native her entire life, Athena left Ohio to train in New York City with the Custom Tailor and Designers Association, studying under a master designer from Italy. She is now an active member in the CTDA and designs custom wardrobes for a nationwide clientele of men and women, ranging from national political figures, celebrities, prominent C-level executives from Forbes Top 10 companies to Wall Street financiers.
