History

Are you a presidential history buff? Or maybe you like classic cars? We have a rich history as the home of President William McKinley, the Ohio & Erie Canal, birthplace of the National Football League, and much more.

Outdoors

Canton/Stark County is home to stunning parks and recreational systems. Stark Parks alone offers 9,000 acres of land, 80+ miles of walking/biking trails, and 30 miles of equestrian trails. We’re also Ohio’s Golf Capital, with 20 public courses in Stark County alone. Whether you like to hike, bike, walk, or play, our amenities are sure to get you outdoors!

Football & Sports

We’re the birthplace of the NFL, the cradle of football, and the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If you’re a football fan, we’re a football fan’s dream. Each summer, our community holds the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival – two weeks of non-stop football fun as we induct the newest class of Hall of Famers. Did you know we're also home to the Canton Charge, the Caveliers' development-league team? Tickets for these high-energy games start at less than $10.

Downtown Canton
