Keith and Ryan are on the frontlines of the battle to create and maintain a growing economy and dynamic business environment through their work in Columbus and Washington.  They will share their insights into the legislative, regulatory and other public policy issues that hang in the balance at the state and federal levels as we head to the polls between now and November 3.

Keith Lake, Vice President
Government Affairs
Ohio Chamber of Commerce

Keith Lake is a member of the executive leadership team at the Ohio Chamber and is responsible for providing direction to the government affairs department of the State of Ohio’s leading business advocate. He oversees the organization's day-to-day engagement at the Statehouse and its public policy, grassroots and political education efforts, and also lobbies on health care and other issues impacting Ohio employers. He is in his second stint with the Ohio Chamber, having previously served as the organization’s Director of Political and Candidate Education from 1998-2008.

In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Research Foundation and the Ohio Chamber Insurance Agency, Inc. and is president of the Ohio Chamber’s affiliated 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation, Ohioans for a Healthy Economy, Inc.

Prior to rejoining the Ohio Chamber in 2012, Keith spent three years as Government Relations Representative for Delta Dental of Ohio, where he was responsible for tracking state legislation and leading lobbying efforts. His background also includes seven years in our nation’s capital, where he was Associate Director of Government Affairs for the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting, a life insurance agent trade association, and a staff assistant at the White House.

Keith is a member of the Ohio Lobbying Association and a 2017 graduate of the Institute for Organization Management, the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, receiving the recognition of IOM in nonprofit management. Keith is a native of the State of Illinois and a graduate of the University of Illinois. He, his wife Julie, and their three daughters reside in the Columbus suburb of Westerville.


Ryan Gleason, Manager of Congressional and Public Affairs -
Great Lakes Region
U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Ryan Gleason is a Manager of Congressional and Public Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Great Lakes Region that encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. Prior to working at the Chamber, Ryan worked at a government affairs firm working with clients on a broad range of issues like taxation, banking issues, and financial services issues in all 50 states and the federal government. Ryan’s experience also includes working in federal affairs for an Illinois governor, working in a state legislature, and working on a number of successful statewide campaigns. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, double-majoring in Economics and Political Science and currently resides in Chicago.
