Why are you interested in Stark County’s Young Professionals initiative?

I am born and raised in Stark County. I love this area and the various opportunities that it presents to its residents. Young Professionals are the future of this area and its exciting to take part in encouraging other YPs to get involved in the community and help grow the economy.

What would you share to encourage other people to join?

This organization is a great way to get connected to other YPs that have the same interests, desires and passion for building careers in Stark County.

Did you grow up in Stark? If so, where? If not, where did you move from and why?

Yes, Wildcat Country (Canton South).

Why do you stay in Stark County, from both a personal and professional point of view?

My wife (Samantha) and my three children (Luke, Elliana, and Emmersyn) are fortunate to have almost every side of our family in a 10 mile radius (all in Stark County). There's no other place I would rather raise my kids. Professionally, Stark County's business owners are great to work with; they have a certain work ethic that simply makes doing business in this area fun.

What do you like MOST about Stark County?

As cliché as it sounds, the PEOPLE. I really value the close friendships that I have here.

What would you change about Stark County if you could?

Let's do change a little bit faster!

What do you see as valuable opportunities for YPs in Stark County when it comes to career opportunities, cultural access, leadership or community involvement opportunities?

There are so many smart and energetic young leaders in this area. The networking opportunities and ability to get plugged into non-profit initiatives are endless.

What would attract more YPs to Stark County?

Trying it out - letting them know. I don't think YPs outside of this area really understand how great of a place this is.

What do you do in the evenings or on the weekends for fun in Stark County or NE Ohio?

Spend time with my family, golf, and attend sporting events.

Could you see yourself spending your lifetime in Stark County and if not, what would cause you to leave?

Absolutely, except for winters in Florida.
