Why are you interested you in Stark County’s Young Professionals initiative?

I am interested in Stark County's Young Professionals initiative to gain knowledge and build insight on how a YP, like myself, can continue to impact our local community and build impactful relationships in the area we work, grow and prosper.

What would you share to encourage other people to join?

Joining a Young Professionals group can help your career grow by crafting personal connections, while giving back to the community.

Did you grow up in Stark? If so, where? If not, where did you move from and why?

I was born and raised in Stark County. I grew up in North Canton and attended North Canton City Schools.

Why do you stay in Stark County, from both a personal and professional point of view?

Both personally and professionally, Stark County is home. I currently reside in Canton. I work for LA Office Solutions, which is locally owned and operated in Canton, as well.

What do you like MOST about Stark County?

I admire the people of Stark County. They are always working hard to make our community a better place to work and live.

What would you change about Stark County if you could?

I would like to see more businesses relocate to the downtown, Canton area. The area has changed drastically within the last handful of years. I would like to see the area to continue to flourish.

What do you see as valuable opportunities for YPs in Stark County when it comes to career opportunities, cultural access, leadership or community involvement opportunities?

Stark County is booming with non-profit organizations looking for YPs to get involved. I strongly believe each YP has the opportunity to give back to our community on a volunteer basis and in leadership roles.

What would attract more YPs to Stark County?

Increasing the number of cutting-edge technology jobs, developing and establishing a signature event to attract innovators, entrepreneurs and creatives, and not only creating, but marketing affordable housing could attract more YPs to Stark County.

What do you do in the evenings or on the weekends for fun in Stark County or NE Ohio?

Depending on the time of year, evenings or weekends in Stark County typically consists of attending events, going to dinner or taking part in First Friday.

Could you see yourself spending your lifetime in Stark County and if not, what would cause you to leave?

I can see Stark County as always being my "home base". My family is from the area; I work here; and my social life is here.
