ystark! surpasses $10k goal in first-ever fund drive
CANTON, OH (March 30, 2010) – ystark!, the Canton Regional Chamber’s young professional initiative, set the bar for their first Fund Drive pretty high - $10,000 – and then they blew right past it. The organization is pleased to announce that they generated a total of $15,400, 90 percent of which came from ystark!’s YP members. “Our members answered our call and overwhelmed us with their support,” said Aimee Belden, director of ystark! “This shows us that the young professionals in our community believe in what we are doing, see the value in our mission and are willing to lend their support to help us achieve our goals.” The newly raised funds will assist the organization with continuing to deliver the great events, programs and professional development opportunities that YPs need in order to thrive. It will also allow the organization to continue offering membership for free to all area young professionals. The fund drive was led by Joseph Schauer, Eric Belden and Doug Hampton, along with a volunteer committee. For more information about ystark! and a complete list of generous donors, visit ystark.org.
