Giving Back to Get Back

Have you ever wondered what makes one person more successful than the other? Why one company can flourish while another files bankruptcy? Is it all skill and business or is it a bit of character and personnel magic?

We believe companies like Timken and Aultman, who encourage their employees to be a part of the company culture and the community, have a formula that has proven itself to work. So, the question: what does one get back by giving back? Can you better yourself professionally by engaging in your community and networking through service? Whether it be on an individual level or a corporate level, the answer is yes!

Join our panel of experts:

  • Jim Griffith, CEO and President of The Timken Company
  • Steve Perry, CEO and Executive Director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame
  • Tracy Sabo, Associate VP of HR and Education at Aultman Health Foundation

The panel will discuss over a complimentary lunch how they personally and professionally value community service, board leadership and social responsibility. From a local CEO who's international company is the epitome of community involvement, to a professional who's career has included the private sector, a public government role and now non-profit leadership, to an HR professional who can reiterate the value of these networks and listings on a resume and throughout a career.

Because this is part of the Wellspring unSpeaker Series and is focused on professional development, be sure to speak with your HR representative about your company sponsoring your registration fee. Also, as part of the "unSpeaker" emphasis, we will go beyond just the panel speaking. They will engage in an audience dialogue; lead by Derek Gordon, the newly appointed Director of the Canton City Parks. Derek's story is a fine example of how one gets back professionally from what they give back personally. If that wasn't enough, we will be on-site with ample opportunities to get you connected with community needs where you can help.

Don't miss this GREAT opportunity to hear this panel and to get back by giving back!

Cost: $30 (includes lunch)
