Session #1: Lead With Laughs
COVID-19 has created massive amounts of stress, leaving leaders scrambling for answers in a post-COVID workplace, but who would guess that those answers can be found in something we could all use right now: a laugh.
In this program, leadership speaker and comedian David Horning combines hilarious anecdotes with science to give you a new leadership tool for overcoming this adversity.
We’ve been conditioned to believe that "work isn't the time or place to laugh,” but this outdated adage doesn’t belong in the modern workplace. You’ll leave this program with renewed energy, ready to act on new ideas to transform work into a safe space for innovation, trust, engagement, collaboration, and laughter, even if you’re not funny.
Presenter: David Horning, Founder and Chief Experience Officer, Water Cooler Comedy
Session #2 - Keynote: Dare to LeadTM, based on the research of Brené Brown
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program. In this session, Margaret DeLillo-Storey combines an overview of Dare To Lead™ with her expertise and leadership development to provide a program based on the ultimate playbook for developing leaders and courageous cultures. She will touch upon the four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. We will look at how we can develop these courage building skills to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.
We will provide an overview of the following four core sets:
- Rumbling with Vulnerability: face risk, uncertainty, and difficult conversations with courage, clarity, and empathy.
- Living into our Values: identify what defines you and how to show up everyday from a place of integrity.
- BRAVING Trust: build meaningful connections with your teams and colleagues so you can work from a foundation of trust.
- Learning to Rise: build emotional literacy, own your stories, and learn how to lead with courage - even when faced with failure, disappointment, and setbacks.
In these times of uncertainty, our world is struggling and we need courageous leaders now more than ever. "It is time to Step up, Step out and be seen! It is time to Dare to Care, Care to Lead and Lead with Courage!" -Margaret DeLillo-Storey, CDTLF
