Why are you interested in Stark County’s Young Professionals initiative? |
I don't know what that is. |
What would you share to encourage other people to join? |
Not sure. |
Did you grow up in Stark? If so, where? If not, where did you move from and why? |
No, I grew up in Portage County but went to High School in Stark County and moved there to be closer to my wife's work. |
Why do you stay in Stark County, from both a personal and professional point of view? |
I love the city of Canton. The potential of the area is great, and the city is working hard to realize that potential. |
What do you like MOST about Stark County? |
Good schools, lots of things to do. |
What would you change about Stark County if you could? |
In general, those that live outside the cities are terrified or lack a desire to visit them. This harms their own communities without them realizing it. |
What do you see as valuable opportunities for YPs in Stark County when it comes to career opportunities, cultural access, leadership or community involvement opportunities? |
There are lots of opportunities in tech fields. Our tech businesses have trouble finding qualified applicants. |
What would attract more YPs to Stark County? |
More thriving city living. |
What do you do in the evenings or on the weekends for fun in Stark County or NE Ohio? |
I like to take my kids to the ice rink downtown in the winter. I enjoy bringing the family to First Friday events. |
Could you see yourself spending your lifetime in Stark County and if not, what would cause you to leave? |
Yes |
