One-of-a-kind KIMONO networking event

CANTON, OH (February 18, 2009) - 'Turning Japanese'? We really think so!

On Thursday, March 5, join hundreds of young professionals from around Northeast Ohio for "Networking in the Middle," a unique networking reception and your ticket to the world of KIMONO. The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Canton Museum of Art, 1001 Market Ave. N in Canton.

Mix and mingle with YPs from around the region, visit sushi and sashimi tasting stations, sample sake and traditional spirits at the cash bar and partake in a variety of Japanese cultural activities such as calligraphy, paper marbling, Kumihimo (Japanese braiding), language instruction, sushi rolling demonstrations and entertainment! Plus, attendees will receive a special viewing of the international KIMONO exhibit, at the CMA now through April 26.

The Cultural Center for the Arts Great Court, transformed for KIMONO's arrival, will be OVERFLOWING with YPs from Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown and Canton through organizations including: Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club, Greater Akron Chamber Young Professionals Network, Lorain County Urban League Young Professionals, Mahoning Valley YPs, Canton Jaycees, Young Professionals of Akron and ystark!

Past regional Networking in the Middle events, spanning Cleveland, Akron and Youngstown, have yielded gatherings of more than 300 young professionals! RSVP for the largest YP networking event of the year online at www.ystark.org. Reservations must be made by Feb. 27. The ystark! Networking in the Middle event is FREE to all attendees, but we've already confirmed our first 150 reservations and given out our free tickets to the KIMONO exhibit. If you'd like to view the exhibit during Networking in the Middle, the cost is $10 per person.

This event is presented by ystark! and Cleveland+ (Akron+Canton+Youngstown) and made possible through generous donations by Julz by Alan Rodriquez, Solmet Technologies and Wentz Financial Group.
